The first step is to take you through what symbols and activities you will be encountering in the course. Click on How You Will Be Graded for grading details.  The following table will indicate an assignment. 

REQUIRED READING

This symbol indicates that a reading is required before you start the activities or assignments.

DISCUSSION BOARD

Participation in the discussion board is worth 15% of your final grade.  We will be discussing current topics in psychology that are relevant to you.  The instructor will post questions on the Discussion Board from time to time.

E-MAIL ASSIGNMENT

This symbol indicates that you are to e-mail the assignment to the instructor.  Please type out and present questions followed by answers.  Try to present information logically and with proper heading.  It may be easier to complete your assignment in a word processor (e.g., Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect) and then attach that file to your e-mail.

TUTORIAL

This symbol indicates a tutorial that will help you understand psychology terms or themes presented in this course.

JOURNAL

This symbol indicates it is time for a journal entry.  You will e-mail your journal entries to the instructor.

RESOURCE LINK

This symbol indicates an important link to click on.

ONLINE VIDEO

This symbol indicates an online video that is required to view.
 

QUIZ

This symbol indicates a quiz should be written.  You will be e-mailed instructions on how to access quizzes. Quizzes consist of true/false and multiple choice questions.
